Erin rejoined Nagle & Zaller, P.C. in January, 2011, as a principal.

Recent Victories:

Erin came to Nagle & Zaller, P.C. from The Murphy Firm, where she worked under nationally recognized trial lawyer, William H. “Billy” Murphy, Jr. and his exclusive team of trial lawyers. In that role, she represented clients in all areas of complex civil litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, toxic and environmental torts, criminal, and business law.

In July, 2010, Erin was part of a trial team that received a verdict of $34.3 Million Dollars in a Baltimore City carbon monoxide poisoning case. She has also tried and settled medical malpractice matters, personal injury cases and toxic torts, recovering millions for her clients.

Some of those victories:

  • Toxic Tort/Property Damage, Groundwater Contamination Case – Shutting down the corporate site and recovering a compensation package worth over $4 Million Dollars for the residents.
  • Medical Malpractice –  $200K for a medical mistake resulting in no permanent injuries.
  • Personal Injury, Toxic Tort – SETTLED – $650K for a carbon monoxide poisoning case not resulting in death.
  • Tried and settled motor vehicle accident cases, negligent injury and toxic tort cases totaling millions in recovery for her clients.

Erin regularly practices in the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland. She has an extremely high success rate. She has briefed and argued cases in the Court of Appeals and Court of Special Appeals on groundbreaking issues of Maryland law. Erin has won summary judgment motions and motions to dismiss in many of her cases and has recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars in attorney’s fees.

Before Private Practice:
Erin clerked for the Honorable John C. Eldridge, the Court of Appeals of Maryland. In that position, she assisted in the drafting of appellate opinions for both the Court of Appeals and Court of Special Appeals on a wide-range of legal issues.

Erin is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She is a 2000 graduate of Southern Illinois University, where she majored in Philosophy. In 2005, Erin graduated from the University of Baltimore, School of Law, with high honors. While in law school, Erin was the Captain of the ATLA Student Trial Team, the Braxton Craven Memorial Moot Court Team and was a Rule 16 Student Attorney with the Civil Advocacy Clinic, where she represented indigent clients in Maryland state courts and administrative agencies. In 2003, she was presented with the University of Baltimore’s Spirit of Innovation Award for her work with an international human rights organization.

Erin is also an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Baltimore, School of Law, where she coaches the National Trial Competition’s Student Trial Teams and teaches a classroom trial advocacy program. In 2008, she led her teams to 1st and 3rd place regional finishes securing a place in the national competition.

Erin is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Illinois and the District of Columbia.
